There are many activities within the area including walks for both novice ramblers and experienced hikers, local fishing and corporate clay pigeon shooting. Theatres, concerts, shopping at Meadowhall, national sporting events like snooker.

At The Royal Hotel there is usually something going on, including pub quiz's and live music.

Visiting the Royal Hotel gives you front row tickets to all outdoor pursuits - including rambling or hiking for the more serious, also fishing, bird watching, riding and shooting. The views from the hotel are exceptional.

Wherever you go in Sheffield you'll never be far from some great Entertainment. Close by to the Royal there is Hillsborough. Home to Sheffield Wednesday football club, Owlerton Stadium the venue for speedway and greyhound racing and also the Ski Village, the largest dry ski slope in Europe.

Further over to the East of Sheffield is Don Valley Stadium, home to Rugby League Cup winners Sheffield Eagles and next door is the Sheffield Arena, which plays host to the top names in show business and is the base for England's most successful ice hockey team The Steelers.

  • June - Bradfield traditional music weekend.
